Elina Dunn’s latest album: With Partir – Songs of Love and Exile, the Swiss/Albanian singer ranges through traditional music from Albania, Kosovo, Armenia, Macedonia, Switzerland and Arab-Andalusia as well as songs by Jacques Brel and her own music – a fiercely individual voice, infused by jazz as well as her own cultural roots.
“23-year-old Londoner Rob Luft has delivered the most fully-realized and rewarding debut album from a guitarist-composer since Julian Lage’s 2009 outing, Sounding Point…” – Downbeat (USA)
“So young and so talented!” – Jamie Cullum, BBC Radio 2 (UK)
“…an extraordinary talent!” – Julian Jospeh, BBC Radio 3 (UK)
“…a singular talent, a fluent improviser and a composer of catchy, earthy, infectiously upbeat tunes. There are echoes of west African high-life, English folk, indie rock and various strands of contemporary jazz, but Luft’s sound is joyously original, robust and in-your-face…” – The Irish Times (IRE)
“Boundless Technique” – Lee Ritenour
Couleur Café (Serge Gainsbourg)
