Christmas Tree Festival 2019–Results and Lots of Thank-Yous!

Thanks to the Community, this year’s Christmas Tree Festival was a really magical weekend!

Thank-you to everyone who took part by entering a tree, everyone who helped with the set-up and running of the Festival, everyone who baked and everyone who kindly donated raffle prizes. The raffle winners have all been informed and are listed below.

Grateful thanks too to the wonderful Oban Community Singers and the Tarbert Ladies Choir who sang on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

And, of course, thanks to everyone who took part by decorating a tree. The trees were even lovelier, more ingenious and more interesting and fun than ever!

Just amazing! So many of the visitors asked if they could vote for more than one tree (No!) because the standard was so high.

The Visitors’ Favourite Trees 2019 were:

1st Lochnell Primary “Reduce, Reuse, Treecycle”

2nd Taynuilt Medical Practice “A Fatal Case of Tinselitis”

3rd Ballet West Outreach “Handprint Tutu Tree”

Also very popular were “All Thing Bright and Beautiful”, Pat McLeod & Betty Jamieson and the “Helter Skelter Tree”, Railway Cottages, Lochawe.

Amazing trees, increased visitor numbers, more lovely home baking, wonderful choirs and a great atmosphere!

The Raffle was drawn as planned in the last hour of the Festival.

The results, in no particular order, are:

Smoked Salmon etc Hamper (Inverawe), pink 4: Ester Campbell, Scone
