Christmas Tree Festival 2019 (29th Nov-1st Dec, see opening times below)
December 1 @ 11:30 am - 6:00 pm
St Conan’s Kirk will be filled (and we mean FILLED!), with all sorts of trees, decorated in amazingly imaginative ways, all lit with fairy lights. The Kirk’s atmospheric quirky setting is quite unique and with all those decorated trees, is truly magical. A real cross-section of the Community gets involved to have fun and showcase the many aspects of life here. Trees are contributed by individuals, businesses, organisations and local groups. Visitors are asked to vote for your favourite tree.
Younger visitors are asked to search for Santa’s Elves. The Elves come every year to see the trees but like to play hide and seek with us, finding ever more ingenious hiding places!
Our Christmas Pop-up Café will be ready to serve hot drinks and home baking. Visitors may also like to take part in the Festive Raffle.
This year we have two wonderful choirs singing:
OBAN COMMUNITY SINGERS Saturday 30th Nov, 2.30 and 3.30pm
TARBERT LADIES CHOIR Sunday 1st Dec, 2.30 and 3.30pm
Entry to the Festival is by Donation
Please Note: There is a CHURCH SERVICE from 10.30-11.30am on Sunday 1st Dec. Everyone is very welcome to attend this service .
There will be admittance to the Kirk only for those attending the service up till 11.30am.
