Particularly in Winter the interior of the Kirk can be quite cold. We have identified that we can make the existing exhibition area more comfortable by adding a glass door and glass wall to form an enclosed space that we would be able to keep a bit warmer. This addition would allow us to have tour guides, whether paid or volunteers, based in the kirk to help our visitors. In 2018 we submitted plans and received Listed Building Consent from Argyll and Bute Council and Historic Scotland. We have obtained 3 quotes for the work and are looking to raise £20,000 to cover the costs of door and walls and also the heating in the area.
