Rose Window Restoration Appeal: Cheer up a Cherub!

The lovely Rose Window hand painted in the Victorian style by Helen Douglas-Campbell was already on the long list of items in need of restoration. The news that it would have to be removed now while nearby roof work takes place has made its off-site restoration a sudden priority. The Friends are asking the community and visitors to help make this restoration work possible. The Oban Times have come to the Kirk to hear all about it:

Removing the glass for conservation. The gable wall was repointed meaning the glass was at risk of damage.
The intricate wooden tracery needs replaced. This unexpected work will cost over £10,000
